Biography

Sarah's passion for travelling began after an impressionable ride on Alton Towers "Around the World in Eighty Days" aged eight, where the sights and sounds from all around the world planted the seed for exploration and travel.

After University Sarah embarked on a backpacking trip to Australia via South East Asia then moved to London to study journalism. She gained an Hons Diploma from the London School of Journalism in 1996 and has worked as a journalist since 1997, mostly as a freelance, but also taking staff jobs in broadcasting and at IPC Media (for BEME.com; a bold and sassy website for women, 2000-2001).

She has contributed articles to Guardian Unlimited, Real, Living France, Glamour, Red, Spirit and Destiny, Women's Health, Yoga magazine, Spanish Homes, Spain Magazine, Kindred Spirit, Recline and LiteReading (My Travel's in-flight journals), Soul and Spirit, Brand New You and Real Travel, as well as various websites on a range of topics from spas/wellness, shopping, food, arts, medical tourism and living/working abroad.

Sarah has also been a regular contributor to the Guardian's Office Hours section on work/career topics and a mini columnist for the Mirror's M magazine on dating/relationships.
